What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas....?
Las Vegas is to celebrities like honey is to bees, they are drawn to it. Until this past week I had never been to the city that never sleeps, but after just a few days there I can tell you that it is a very interesting place, to say the least. Now, this was not a vacation for me because I was there to attend the Magic trade show for business purposes, so I didn't get to experience the crazy-stay-out-all-night-get-married-then-forget-about-it-the-next-morning kinda Vegas. However I did get to see some celebs-in the flesh! Of course I was too chicken to go up and talk to any of them but that's not the point. I believe that everyone, including people in the public eye, deserve some privacy even when they are out in public.

There was the "living" legend Elvis, who graced us with his presence at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant located at the Paris Hotel & Casino-very ritzy place I might add, which is why I'm glad that someone else picked up the bill, lol. Then, to my surprise while I was
in one of the gift shops at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, I ran into the uber stylish and fabulous Whitney Port-ahh!!! She was with her dad which was cute and no one seemed to bother them. I literally just missed Lauren Conrad which I was super bummed about but I did see her line and it was amaze! Brooke Burke was also there making an appearance at the Sketchers booth, and then out of the blue Nancy O'Dell from Access Hollywood showed up-with an entourage I might add. Finally, in the world of fashion this man is in my opinion at the top of the food chain, the one and only David Wolfe! He is the go to person for what's hot and new in fashion and I was lucky enough to get all the scoop on what will be in for Spring 2012-eek!
I know that this post wasn't all about the what's going on in the world of celebs but I wanted to share a firsthand account of what it was like to be in the town that all of our faves go to relax and party the night away, although I did not find Las Vegas too relaxing-I'm much more of a tropical island kinda girl-but to each his own!
Also, to all of our readers on the East Coast please stay safe during Hurricane Irene and do not try and be brave and ignore the warnings by your local government, if they say evacuate you say how far away do I need to go. All of the writers of this blog live on the East Coast, where I live will be hit pretty bad (at least that's what they're saying) so I urge you to keep us in your thoughts!
Have a safe weekend!
