Cinco De Mayo Festivities

So it’s official…I finally moved into my first apartment this past Saturday on Cinco De Mayo! After getting just about 4.5 hours of sleep the night prior, my parents, brother, cousin Rebecca, and Auntie Nancy all packed up the moving truck and moved me across the state. It only took about 3 hours to move me in once we reached Needham, and I couldn’t be happier to finally be moved into my place.  And let me tell you…the closet space is to die for!!! Plenty of room for all my pretty shoes J

Later Saturday night, Jen Boo & KM came over to start our Cinco De Drinko celebrations! We made it a Mexican night with Chicken quesadillas, guacamole, Newman’s Mango salsa & chips, and of course some Skinny Girl Margaritas!
I think next time though we all decided we'd pass on this Skinny Girl Margarita mix. A little too sweet for our taste!

The girls and I then ventured down to Boston for the night to Lansdowne Pub down near Fenway. I was pumped because it only was a 15 minute drive from my apartment to get to Lansdowne.  Not too shabby huh?! Think I could get used to this!

Our reasoning for going into Boston last Saturday was to see the band, Green Line Inbound perform at Lansdowne Pub. If you read my Chrismukkah post back in December, you may have remembered me blogging about GLI, and how Jen Boo, and I met Joose (aka Bryce), who plays the keytar in the band. Over the past few months, Bryce and I stayed in contact, and he's been telling me to check out the band perform in Boston. I'm glad I finally had a chance to go!

Green Line Inbound isn't your everyday kind of band! This group of talented musicians bring a mix of a 90's style to modern pop, while incorporating electronic music, and hip-hop into their songs. You'll hear them perform a mix of their own music, as well as cover songs from a variety of music artists. What I love about GLI is that they know exactly how to entertain a crowd at a venue, and get people to dance all night long!

Want to learn more about this band, and find out where they'll be performing next?! Then Add GLI On Facebook Now!

Watch the official music video of "We Know (You Wanna)" from GLI (youtube.com)

And Jen Boo's and my favorite cover song from the band:

We were pumped when they performed this Saturday night!

So what did you guys do for Cinco De Mayo?! Hope you had a few too many margaritas! :)
