The Gossip Corner with Stini

Random-ness!!!

So this week has been pretty hectic for me and I would like to end it on a high note, so I figured this post could be about the most random things that are going on right now.

1st random: I feel like every time I look at People.com or see a gossip magazine it always has Kate Middleton (aka Duchess of Cambridge) on the cover with the tagline, "Kate recycles sweater for another grocery shopping trip". Seriously who cares if she re-wears the same clothes!?! Just as long as it isn't for several days in a row I don't see what the big deal is. Maybe she is just trying to show that she is still the same girl from Buckleberry, England and that she is normal-ish (not everyone has the prospect of being Queen one day). What I find ironic about this is that she would be criticized if she wore a new outfit everyday that would end-up costing a fortune, maybe even more-so! I just feel bad that the press can't find anything more exciting to feature on their covers than which pieces of clothing the Duchess has recycled that week.

2nd random: I have become slightly obsessed with game shows, not reality shows, but shows like Wipeout, Jeopardy, and Take the Money and Run (all on ABC). My uncle got me into Wipeout, which features crazy people trying to complete an obstacle course while being doused with buckets of water, sprayed with whip cream, and being hit by various foam objects all for the chance to win $250,000 dollars. If it sounds painful-that's because it is! And it's hilarious to watch, I cannot tell you the last time that my uncle and I laughed that much! I am sure most of you have heard of Jeopardy, if not just turn to ABC at 7pm EST and try to answer the questions before the people on TV. I started watching this with my grandmother at the city and shore houses when I was little. You get to learn so much stuff and over the years I have gotten pretty good at it-not good enough to actually go on the show but I do alright. Take the Money and Run is exactly that! Some guy hands you and a partner a case of $100,000 and you have to hide it within 1 hour, then real-life detectives and interrogators have 48 hours to try and find it or else you get to keep it. If they find it then they get to keep it. Now, my cousin Jennifer and I actually signed-up for this show! Yup believe it! Our family thinks we're insane but we know that we can win because we are excellent at "forging" the truth and getting people off topic-just ask our family. So if you happen to see 2 girls from Philly on the show-that's us! (I'll try and post our submission video soon!)

3rd random: What happened to "if it ain't broke don't fix it" ? I swear every other day these producers come out with another classic movie-that was great to begin with- and decide to remake it. The latest victim of this is Dirty Dancing....I know I can't believe it either. I don't anybody could've gotten Baby out of the corner better than Patrick Swayze, may he rest in peace. Maybe we can start a petition to keep them from doing a re-make...any takers?

4th random: To piggyback off of Jen Biff and Vicki's posts on NYC-which was amaze! Why does the weather channel lie?! It was supposed to rain cats, dogs, and other small creatures all day, however we were fortunate enough to have a beautiful day in the city! I don't know about you but I find that when the weather man/woman tells me what to expect that day I tend to plan for the opposite and I'm usually fine. I will leave you with 2 fun quotes that I use on a daily basis: "Silly (enter name here) tricks are for kids!" and "They must be koo-koo for cocoa puffs!"

What random thoughts are on your mind?
