Thirsty Thursday's With Vicki

Animal Print Crazy

Once again, for this upcoming fall season, animal prints are hitting the streets everywhere! Whether it’s a slouchy top, big oversized sweater, dress, blouse, a scarf, pair of open toed chunky heals, a purse, tights, jewelry, whatever…it still is a popular trend!
This purse and blouse are two of my favorite fall items that I will be on the lookout for this season. Maybe not in my price range...but no big deal!

As for me, I started getting into the trend about a year ago and always try to pick up a piece or two that I think are fun, whether it is a going out outfit or just something casual!
It’s a trend we can find all four seasons, all year long! Here are a few ways that I’ve incorporated animal print into my wardrobe:

Christian Louboutin (NeimanMarcus.com)
A Romeo & Juliet top I snatched at the Off Sax Outlet in Wrentham looks great with a pair of tight dark skinny jeans and open toed shoes or black boots. I also can switch up this outfit and wear a pair of black leggings if I want a substitute for jeans. To add a pop of color, I can throw on a pair of Bordeaux colored pumps! On the left is a dream pair I hope to own one day.  Stay on top of the trends this season by being sure to add Bordeaux into your fall wardrobe. We’ll see it in everything from shoes, handbags, scarves, blouses, sweaters, to pants. Here I am rocking this outfit on my way to Hartford CT for my friend Jessica's birthday!
Below, here's another animal print inspired top, from Nordstrom’s Juniors department that I bought last summer season. This cheetah print top is light weight, and great for a night of dancing. Pair it with some dark skinnies, black flats or platforms and your good to go. Here you can see me out at a bar in PA with Jen Boo, dancing the night away when we visited Stine!

For a casual summer dress, I picked up this adorable Guess cheetah print dress. This summer piece that I found at Filene’s Basement in Boston, MA saved me on a few hot summer days! Like here, when I went to the Roger Williams Zoo in RI! To be prepared for cooler weather (which I am always known for), I paired my dress with a black asymmetrical cardigan I bought at Nordstrom and a black tassel bag from H&M. Even though I don’t make it to the Zoo very often, it’s my favorite place. Mainly because I love seeing the Giraffes! As you can tell here in this picture!

For a more formal event, I bought this short cheetah print dress at Ann Taylor this past April. For a short person like myself, I’m thrilled Ann Taylor carries Petite sizes! I wore this animal inspired dress to my graduation. Unfortunately, the day was full of clouds, rain and more rain, so getting a picture outside was just not happening. I wore this dress with a pair of strappy nude wedges that I bought at DSW for the summer.
I’ve even managed to incorporate animal print into my summer bathing suits the past summer. Victoria’s Secret is my go-to store for swimwear. One, because the bathing suits have great styles for different body types, and are always on top of the trends for the season. And two, because of my discount I used to get for working there.

I’ve also managed to pick up a couple of animal print inspired shoes, accessories and handbags over the past few seasons. All of course in my favorite animal print: Giraffe!

So tell me, what are your thoughts on animal print inspiration? Will you be rocking them this upcoming fall season like me!?
