Thirsty Thursday's With Vicki

Senior Week!

It’s crazy to believe how fast this year has just gone by! “How can it already be September?” I ask myself! 2011 has been one of the greatest years thus far because of a number of reasons. But I think the top reason would probably be because the girl’s and I just graduated college in May! It’s insane how four amazing years went by in what felt like a blink of an eye. Through the good, and bad times we stuck it all out together.
K&M and Me at TGB
Some of my favorite memories with my best friends, would have to had been from Senior Week! Senior Week was jam-packed full of nights out. Which therefore means, a cute going out outfit was needed!
Our first event was taken place at The Greatest Bar in Boston, right outside of the Garden! It’s a HUGE club, which consists of about 4 floors with music, lounges, and just a ton of fun. Our school was so nice that on a Monday night they actually rented out the first two floors for our event. Pretty sweet for the most part I would say. Never thought I’d be at a club on a Monday night. They provided us with free drinks, appetizers, and music. But the best part of all, Danny from the Real World was our bartender!

Since, we didn’t know how dressy this event would be, I decided to go all out! For this event, I wore a one shouldered long sleeved black mini dress. For accessories, I threw on a black beaded necklace, and for shoes my Aldo peep toe ruffled booties. I may have felt a little over dressed, but I was excited to wear it one last time in Boston before we graduated!

The next event we had for Senior Week was at King's in The Dedham Shops Plaza. If you have never been to King's, it's basically like Jillian's on Lansdowne Street in Boston. This place has multiple rooms of bars, music, food, and bowling alleys galore. Above each alley, are televisions where you can watch sports games or music videos. That night, they were playing music videos so we were all dancing up a storm! If you haven't realized it yet, I am a dancing diva! This is where the name Vicki Live came in.

For this event, I wanted to look cute and dressed up, but not over the top! I wore a pink sequined tank top, and a pair of white bootcut pants both from Ann Taylor. I paired this outfit with my nude glossy strappy wedges that I bought from DSW this past spring. I put my hair in the “snookie” poof (my typical go-to going out hair style), and put on some white hooped earrings.

For the next event, we went to Fire & Ice, and Hong Kong NightClub. If you’ve never been to Fire Ice, it should be on the top of your list for restaurants to check out in Boston! You can choose from so many varieties of food, put everything on your plate, then the chefs cook it right in front of your face in minutes. You can choose from different types of meats, seafood, vegetables, fruits. It’s pretty much an endless variety right there!

As for Hong Kong Night Club, there’s two floors of DJ’s, and bars. The night we went it wasn’t that busy, but we all still had a good time. We ended up basically starting our own dance party on the top floor. Unfortunately, not everyone was able to join but Jen Biff and I made the most of it!

Starting a dance party!

For this event, I decided to wear this sexy Asian Inspired Racerback top that I bought
From Nordstrom, last summer in the T.B.D Department. Underneath, I wore a black lace racerback top that I got from Express, just so I could hide any unwanted bra staps. I of course wore my Vigoss skinny jeans, and my Aldo peep toe ruffled booties. I threw on my black beaded necklace for an accessory as well, and my alligator embossed Expess clutch.

For the final event of Senior Week, our school treated us to a RiverBoat Cruise on the Boston Harbor. Besides, it being a wee bit chilly outside, and the Cruise lasted a lot less time than we thought, we still had a great time dancing the night away...one last time as a class! Once again, we were provided with some free drinks too!

For this semi-formal event, I wore a black ruffled halter top dress I bought from Express last year, and a white three quarter length sleeved blazer from Forever 21. I threw on a pair of black heels to finish off the look. I’m always known for being cold wherever I go, so the blazer was perfect. But by the time the music was going, that blazer came off rather quickly!

Us girls...K&M was there in spirit!
