The time has come to show you all my brand new bathroom-ahh I'm so excited! First I am going to show some in between photos to give you an idea of how extensive this process was.
It's all gone! We literally ripped out EVERYTHING and even got a few surprises along the way. We ended up having to replace more copper pipping than we originally thought and we added more insulation.
The tub and walls are in!
Here are some quick tips to think about when considering a bathroom reno:-Always plan for extra expenses that are not included in your contractor's quote (usually 10% of the original total)
-Plan ahead by purchasing tile, accessories, tub, sink, supplies, etc. so that you or your contractor isn't running back and forth to Lowes or Home Depot
-Do your research! Even though your contractor may tell you how much supplies will cost, shop around and see if you can get a better deal. Our contractor, Brian was amazing and only charged us the price he paid for supplies we didn't have already. He did mention that some contractors will up the cost of materials by 50% so that they can make a profit-which isn't fair to you.
-Have a vision in mind of what you want your bathroom to look like but also keep in mind what the next person living in your house will like too. When the time comes to sell your house you want it to sell fast and not sit on the market because it looks out-of-date.
Now for the big reveal....
All of the towels, shower curtain, rug are from Target.
What do you think? Are you going to try renovating a space in your house?
