The Gossip Corner with Stine

Hi Readers! I apologize for posting a day late, Vicki and I were out all day and I just lost track of time, that is real life right! Lol. Anywhosers, I figured it was only right to pay tribute to the late great Whitney Houston for today's post.

It feels like we have lost a lot of the great singers recently and I never thought that Whitney would be one of them. There was a special on her life and career last night on 20/20 that detailed her accomplishments and struggles that I personally had never known about. Whitney grew up in Newark, NJ and began singing in her church choir. By the age of 19 she would be discovered by famed record producer Clive Davis and on her way to stardom.

She had many chart topping songs during her 30 year career, some of my favorites include:
-I Will Always Love You
-Saving All My Love For You
-I Wanna Dance With Somebody
-One Moment In Time
-I'm Every Woman
-The Star Spangled Banner

Aside from the fame, the Grammys she won, and the movies she starred in Whitney Houston was a person with her most important role being mother to her only child, a daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

I want to end this post on a high note, from Whitney-literally. With this video of her singing the Star Spangled Banner at Super Bowl 25.
