KM Explains it All!

The Best Way to Spend Valentine's Day...

I am one of those people who believes that Valentine's Day is a mere ploy created by the candy and greeting card companies to get you to spend more money.  Now, I do partake in the consumption of candy so good job candy companies but I'll eat candy no matter what day it is!  No matter what my situation is, I always like to celebrate Valentine's Day by...

having a scary movie marathon!

It's almost like a second Halloween for me.  Nothing says romance like someone getting a limb cut off, right?  Maybe I just use it as an excuse to have a scary movie marathon because I do love a good scary movie.

eating a ton of chocolate!
I refuse to eat those nasty chalky hearts.  Those sayings may be cute but the taste is far from it.

As if I need another excuse to consume more chocolate.  Hello, my name is KM and I'm a chocoholic.

watching Disney movies!
Beauty and the Beast is my all time favorite! (photo taken from google.com)
If I'm feeling a little less romantic, I'll opt out of the scary movie marathon and channel my inner child with a Disney princess movie marathon.

enjoying a glass of wine!

A glass of wine goes oh so well with chocolate and a movie!

Depending on my schedule, I may go out with some of my other single friends.  My best Valentine's Days have been spent either watching movies with friends while stuffing our face with Chinese food and chocolate.  But why is it that on Valentine's Day we all feel the need to be around anyone whether it be a boyfriend or a friend?  Is it really that sad not to have someone to share today with and what makes it seem like such a romantic day?  It really is just like any other day except this one's blown up a bit more.

Whether you have plans with a special someone today or whether you're just hanging out with friends, I wish you all the very best Valentine's Day!

What's your view on Valentine's Day and how do you prefer to spend it?
