The Gossip Corner with Stine

Monday Madness-TV Edition!

Hey everyone, sorry for not posting last week, things have been pretty cray shenans around here! Which leads me to announce that I will be scaling back on my posts to 2 per month. This way I can guarantee you all some on-time juicy gossip, instead of late posts that are kind of lackluster.

Moving on now to the new fall TV shows line-up! There are some pretty great new shows on this fall, mostly comedies but there are some dramas, so let's get into it!

FOX
The Mindy Project: I am seriously LOVING this show!! Mindy Kaling is amazing along with the rest of the cast, who are all doctors sharing a practice-most of whom are OB/GYNs including Dr. Mindy Lahiri (Kaling). The show follows the ups and downs of Mindy's life both personally and professionally, with her love life being the main focus. Don't take my word for it, check out this clip:

The Mob Doctor: Here's your drama! This show is about Doctor Grace Devlin, who's family has always been surrounded by the mob in Chicago. Her brother owes a pretty large gambling debt to the boss, Moretti, so instead of seeing her brother killed Grace agrees to take on his debt, and become the unofficial doctor for the mob. She deals with this decision on a daily basis and puts her life, both personally and professionally, in danger. Here's a clip:

CBS
Elementary: If you're looking for a modern day take on a classic, you've found it in this new CBS drama with a flair of comedy. This isn't you're typical Sherlock Holmes like in the movies with RDJ (Robert Downing Jr). It's a crime-solving show at it's core but the relationship between Holmes and Dr. Watson played by Lucy Liu is an interesting one that gives the show some light moments.

NBC
Go On: I'm getting on board with this show slowly but surely. It's about a radio sportscaster who loses his wife in an accident and now has to go to therapy to deal with his pain, the only problem is he, Ryan (played by Matthew Perry-Friends) thinks he's just fine. Ryan tries to loosen up the other group members in his therapy session which can sometimes be distracting but other times be helpful. I'm excited about where this show is going to go because I loved Matthew Perry in Friends.

The New Normal: This show is pretty funny too, think of Modern Family but only with Cam and Mitchell, and add-in a single mom with an overbearing-racist grandmother, and you've got The New Normal! While the premise of the show is pretty deep-a gay couple looking for a surrogate to carry their child-everything else is all about the funny. It all starts when a woman named, Goldie, finds her loser husband having an affair, and decides to take her grandma's car and drive herself and her daughter, Chinia to California for a better life. Goldie then becomes a surrogate for TV producer Bryan and OB/GYN David, much to her grandmother's despair. Here's a clip:
