Thirsty Thursday's With Vicki

 My 2012 New Year Resolutions

We all make New Year’s Resolutions every year. Some actually have the determination to stick with them, while the rest of us fall short. For 2012, I made two New Year’s Resolutions to myself:

1.) Cut back on shopping and save money!

2.) Work out 4-5 times a week, and be sure to drink 8 glasses of water per day!

3.) Move out & Get my own apartment!

Now even though, I do plan on saving money, and cutting back on my shopping habits, I'm still going on at least a few shopping sprees.  I mean a girl’s gotta get new spring clothes! And with all the bright colors, and fun trends that are coming our way this upcoming season, I just can’t resist but drop a few bucks on a couple of new looks.

Here's a few of Spring 2012's trends that I'll be sure not to miss out on:

Colored Denim: I really want to get a pair of pink and cobalt blue colored denim. I love the color pink, and if it’s trendy again to wear pink pants then I’m doing it up! And I think cobalt blue looks amazing on blondes! Also look for colored denim this spring in coral, oranges, tangerines, peach, bright saturated colors, and pastels. You can also add colored shorts to your attire this spring too!

Hayden Panettiere

I may not be the biggest fan of Kim K, but I still love her style!

Cropped Tops: I guess it's a good thing I'm trying to get into a steady workout routine, because I'll need to be looking trim this upcoming spring with this trend! I'm going to pair this look with my colored denim, light wash skinny jeans, bell bottoms, denim cut off shorts, and maxi floral skirts! Free People has adorable cropped tops I'd love to have in my closet.

Colorblocking: Now I never thought I'd see the day where I'd actually adopt to this certain trend, but now over the past few seasons of seeing how mainstream it has become I've decided to actually try it in my wardrobe. I'm not planning on making it a daily trend or anything but maybe fun handbag, or pair of shoes here and there could be fun!
I'm loving this snake embossed clutch from BCBG ($98) and animal print color blocked heels from BCBG ($275):
