It is the first Wednesday of the month again readers! You know what that meanss!!! Oldies! But before I get started with the classics, I'm going to talk about something new: our background. We are looking to change up our look a little bit and would love to know what you think! If you've seen one this week that you really loved let us know! If you don't have a blog, write on our facebook fan page, re-tweet us or even send us a good old fashioned email (thisisrealblog11@gmail.com).
Well onto the movies! I watched some very different ones this month thanks to my dad and cousin. As you can probably tell I really enjoy old fashion romantic comedies, but this month I watched a western and a sci-fi along with my fav rom-com. Let me tell you all about them!
The Magnificent 7 (1960)
Starring: Yul Brynner, Steven McQueen, and Charles Bronson
Times were getting pretty tough for your average cowboy in small towns near the Mexican border. Most of the cowboys had given up and found other jobs just to be able to pay rent and eat! Some farmers from a small town in Mexico were constantly bullied by a bandit and his posse and finally decided to get help to stop the bullying. They found a cowboy who still hadn't given up and asked if he could help with some other cowboys. Chris Adams, the cowboy they asked, at first didn't want to do it, but then later agreed and found 6 other cowboys to help. Wanna see good ol fashion cowboys in action I would def watch this!
*side note- if you've ever watched the Disney and Pixar movie A Bugs Life...there are similarities...check it out!

2001: Space Odyssey (1968)
Starring: Keir Dullea, Gary Lockwood, and William Sylvester
This movie was very artsy and different. Basically it described evolution from early humans to past our own current intelligence. I don't really know what else to say...just be ready.

Wait Until Dark (1967)
Starring: Audrey Hepburn, Alan Arkin, and Richard Crenn
While leaving the airport from a trip, a young woman asks Sam to hold a doll so not to ruin the surprise for her daughter. They end up getting separated and he just took the doll home. The reason she gave the doll to Sam was to avoid her partner and make the full profit off the drugs she was actually carrying in the doll. He ended up finding her and killing her, then hires two crooks to help him get the doll back from Sam. He sends Sam on all sorts of trips around the city so he has time to look around his apartment. He makes this all possible by telling Sam's wife, Susie that he is involved in a murder case. The three crooks are able to look around her apartment while "questioning" her because she is blind. Will they find the doll? Will Susie figure out they're lying?
