Wacky Wednesdays with Jenbiff

Year of the Dragon

Hello readers! Almost 6 months ago I wrote a post about how pretty much everyone in my life was moving (seen here ). I never mentioned where, but my parents and brother moved to Shanghai, China. Yes, China--as in the country. My dad took a job and my mom and brother went with them. Since they left my mom had been asking, "when are you going to come visit?" and finally I decided (due to the lack of real job) to go for Chinese New Year (I'll be here from Jan. 16th-Feb. 1st, but Chinese New Year is on Jan. 23rd). And in case you haven't guessed, the next few posts will be about my adventures.

Anyway, since I have only been here for about a day I haven't done too much. After arriving, my parents and I stopped at a place similar to a super Walmart, called Carrefour to pick up some soda. Here's a few fun/cool that I wanted to share!

Food court type area (yes that's a Cold Stone)

My mom riding the "flat escalator" to the second floor of Carrefour

The entrance of the second floor. I think they're getting ready for some sort of holiday!

The coming year is the year of the Dragon. Which was the year I was born, yay coincidence!

Colgate--Chinese version!

Today my mom and a few of her friends took me out shopping. Since I was totally in the zone, I forgot to take any pictures! But if you've ever been to Canal St. in New York City, it's similar to that, only it's in one big building. I did however take pictures while we were driving around and of what I bought.

This is one of my mom's friend's house. Her complex looked like something out of the Desperate House Wives.

The trees on the side of the road let you know that you are in the French Concession

These palm trees are decorated with gold for the holiday!

Outside of Carrefour

This was inside a restaurant/butcher. It's for you babe.

I know there are a lot more fun things that will be packed into the next 2 and a half weeks. I can't wait to share!
Ps, I hope this post isn't too weird sounding, but I am still struggling through jet lag. Next week will be better I promise!
