Outfit Outtakes By Jen Bou

Myrtle Beach

I got to spend this past week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. My parents hadn’t planned a family vacation since 2009 so I was ecstatic when I got the invite to go. My mom was wondering if I was too old to still be going on the family vacation. But think about it—your parents are willing to take you and pay for everything. Who would say no? So we decided to pack up the car and drive down to SC. The car ride is supposed to be about 14 hours, but with all the pit stops made, it adds up. It was surprising that we made it there without killing each other on the way. Let’s just say by the time we reached the hotel, I was out the door before my dad could park the car, eager to let the vacation festivities begin. Nonetheless, it was fun to take a road trip down South with my family and spend a week enjoying the beach, the boardwalk, and the sun.

Such an awesome place! Tons of restaurants, shops, bars, and nightlife. They even have ziplining, boat rides, an amusement park, museum exhibits, the list goes on…..

A fun place to walk around with family, friends, or your bf/gf. Right along the beach there are a bunch of eateries (with outdoor seating facing the ocean), cool bars, and fun little surf shops. Another part of Myrtle Beach that has a lot going on with neat exhibits and festivals/events all year round.

Le Grand Cirque was one of the shows we chose to go to. We got a really good deal on tickets and even though it was indoors, we figured it would be something different to do. This show was awesome with the trapeze artists, the motorcyclists, and all of the stunts they performed were outrageous and made for an awesome show. Definitely recommend this one if you ever head to Myrtle Beach!

Overall, I would have to say MB has become one of my favorite vacation spots. I have been there twice now and I’m already planning the itinerary for my next visit!

By the way here’s one of the outfits I wore for a seafood dinner one night while I was there. Excuse my crazy hair. It was very windy due to the thunderstorm that was going to hit that night.

A little pop of turquoise couldn't hurt.

Obsessed with this bracelet that I scored at a style event for $5!

Finally wearing this crossbody bag that I bought last summer. Tie the strap in a knot and it easily becomes a mini shoulder bag.

Do you have any favorite vacation spots that you love to go to over and over again?
