The Gossip Corner with Stine

Drama!!!!

Well to the new Gossip Corner on Mondays!!! There has certainly been lots of drama going on lately! From cheating, to Olympic upsets, to family battles, we've pretty much seen it all.

Robsten cheating scandal: If Kristen Stewart was looking for something to tarnish her reputation she got it when her infidelity to bf Robert Pattinson was revealed last week, and Us Weekly has the pictures to prove it. She was caught canoodling with her Snow White and the Huntsmen director, Rupert Sanders, who is married and has two children. And in a turn of events, Stewart made a public apology to her bf saying that she made a terrible mistake and that she loves him, something she has never said publicly, until now. R-Patz was so devastated that he left the house they share (he owns) because he just couldn't be near her, and has since asked Kristen to move her things out. A U-haul was spotted outside the house today. Rumors are also circulating that he was even planning on proposing to Kristen, guess that's not happening now!

I will try to post pics ASAP!

News from London: In a surprising turn of events, current Women's World Champ, Jordyn Wieber, was shut out of the individual all-around when she was out scored by her teammates Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman. Wieber will still be able to compete for the team gold and an individual medal on vault, floor, uneven bars, or balance beam. Only 2 members from each country are allowed to compete in the all-around. On the Men's gymnastics side, Team USA finished in an upsetting 5th place!! What?! After coming in 1st after day one but were plagued by mistake after mistake in the finals today. Another shocker came during the Men's 400m-IM with USA's Ryan Lochte blowing away the rest of the pool winning by 3 seconds. What's even more unbelievable is the fact that golden boy, Michael Phelps didn't even get on the podium! He came in 5th place.

Jackson custody: It looks like not all is calm in paradise, at least not for the Jackson kids. Family matriarch, Katherine, was reported missing by her nephew, T.J. but according to Katherine's kids she was doing just fine and resting in Arizona. Paris was very upset and even took to twitter to express her concerns. Police were also called to the Jackson home after a call about a domestic dispute was reported. This eventually led to Katherine losing custody of her grandchildren, with that responsibility going to Tito's son Trent. She has since returned to California and filed for joint custody of Prince, Paris, and Blanket with Trent.

Have a great week everyone!!

And the Final Rose Goes To....

Hey everyone and happy Friday!! Did everyone catch Sunday's finale of The Bachelorette? If not then you have 2 options: 1. go watch it right away and then come back and read my post, or 2. continue reading my post and prepare for some spoilers!! The choice is yours.....and away we go!

To Curacao!
This beautiful destination is where Emily Maynard chose....Jef (with 1 F) to be her forever prince charming and father figure to little Ricki-YAY!!! She made the best decision because Jef seems like a great guy and ready to jump into being a dad and hubby. Looking back on their brief courtship, there are little hints and moments that really support Emily's decision. Some examples are: when Jef went back to the puppet shop to buy Ricki a puppet "we couldn't leave Ricki behind" he told Emily, his approach to fatherhood and how he wanted to gain Ricki's trust, the love note he wrote on their hometown date, and his insistence on meeting her before continuing their lives together.

What a keeper, right?! Now I know that want to think that it's the Jef and Emily show but there was another guy involved, and that was Arie the race car driver. After both guys met her family, Emily was more confused than ever about who she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, oh the calamity! Well after her fun-filled pool date with Jef and little Ricki, Emily's mind was made up and it was time to tell Arie that it was over. Of course he never saw it coming and was utterly destroyed as she tried to let him down easy. Who could blame him! It's not like they didn't have chemistry because oh boy did they ever! These two could barely keep their hands off each other lol. Everything worked out in the end and now Jef, Emily, and Ricki will have their fairytale.

Moving on to the important details...the ring, dress, and what are the couple's future plans!!!
The ring: specially designed and crafted by famed jeweler to the stars, Neil Lane. Jef chose a 2.5 carat emerald-cut diamond ring that's accented by 87 smaller round cut diamonds for a total carat weight of 3.5. Amazing!!!!!

The dress: she chose a Jean Fares Couture gown for the special occasion in a salmon and bronze hue. I kinda like it but I wouldn't say I love it. What do you guys think?

Future plans: Jef is going to move to Charlotte in order to be closer to Emily and get to know Ricki better. He will get his own place until they are married, which could happen as early as next spring!!

Before we go, the girls and I would like to share some changes in our blog that are going into effect next week. Due to hectic schedules Jen Bou, KM, and Vicki Live will only be posting once a month however, Jen Biff and I will still be posting once a week (unless something changes). So The Gossip Corner will be moving to Mondays, Wacky Wednesdays is moving to Fridays, and Outfit Outtakes/Trending Thursdays/KM Explains it All will be on Wednesdays.

Summer Partying With GLI

Green Line Inbound Performing in Charlestown, MA

As I've mentioned in some of my posts this summer, Jen Boo and I, have been checking out our friend Bryce's band, Green Line Inbound, which was started by a group of 5 talented musicians in Boston, MA.

Last weekend, GLI threw their Boston fans a summer party in Charlestown, MA (located right next to Cambridge, MA). Tickets were only $10 and each guest was given free beer, admission to the party, and the chance to listen to some awesome music. Three bands performed at this party which included GLI, Tha Jist, and A Cool Stick, both from Baltimore MD.  Jen Boo, our friend Alyssa, and myself all went to the event last Saturday. Here's a few pictures to remember the night...

 Fierce Style

The cover of Fierce Style
Sorry for the late post bloggers! It's been one busyyy day! Anywhosers, on to today's post! During the big Christian Siriano craze with everything being “fierce”, Christian came out with a book called Fierce Style: How to be Your Most Fabulous Self. Fitting right? As you may have guessed by now I have a mini obsession with books about or written by anything fashion. So naturally I had to read it. I literally felt like I was listening to him lecture me in all of his ideas and knowledge in how to create my own style; which is the first section of the book. Of course every fashion book has their lists of what not to do (and thankfully the majority agrees on main things—sorry but Uggs and Old Navy flip-flops are out if you want to be taken seriously in fashion). And his book is no different. Christian goes on to help the reader figure out how and where to shop, but of course the suggestions are not the only options. He talks about high and low fashions and makes sure to talk about stores that are all over the country for those of us not located in a fashion capital.

The second part of the book goes a little deeper than just fashion. He explains how important it is to own your own style, and always wear with confidence! Look for inspirations from celebrities and even from people in your own life. I don’t want to give away the whole book, but it’s truly a great read! Along with great suggestions and tips from Christian he also pulls all celebrities he knows for their tips. And my favorite part: all of his personal stories about his style journey. Even the fiercest of us all take interesting paths to take to greatness (he did grow up in the 90s after all).

KM Explains it All!

Vegas Vegas VEGAS!!!

As I've mentioned I'll be going to Vegas at the end of July.  I know it's still a month away but I'm so excited that I've started planning a bit.  When everyone thinks of Vegas I feel like they only think of drinking and partying.  What are we supposed to do during the day?  Personally I thought that hanging out at the pool with a few cocktails would be on the agenda every day but since it's supposed to be balls hot out I thought it might be a good idea to check out some other options.

Sun Buggy Rides!

Dune buggy rides at an intense fast speeds?  Yes please!  While it seems a bit expensive and I don't think we'll get around to it I would definitely love to try this some time.  (click here for Sun Buggy website)

Indoor Skydiving!

I have always wanted to go skydiving but I've never been good on those amusement park rides where you plummet to the ground.  My stomach always feels like it was left at the top of the ride and it's just not a feeling a like.  Nevertheless it's still on my bucket list and I think that this would be a great start-off point.  At $85 for a single flight I think it's fairly reasonable considering the experience.  (click here for website)

M&M World!

As a chocoholic I think that it's my duty to visit this magical place.  (click here for website)

Gallery of Fine Arts!

One of the things that I loved about London was all the free museums.  I've missed going and seeing gorgeous pieces of art whenever I liked so this might be worth checking out.  (click here for website)

Adventuredome!

While I think I'll avoid the free clown shows, I'm a sucker for any sort of amusement ride.  It's also indoors and I've never been to an indoor amusement park!  (click here for website)

Shopping!

Kind of a must for a girl, right?

Obviously there are an infinite amount of things that you can do in Vegas during the daytime since it's a party pretty much twenty-four hours, seven days a week but in case you want to break it up a bit these are a few things that caught my interest!  (all photos taken from google.com)

What do you think are some good daytime activities for Vegas?  Let me know!!!
