Wacky Wednesdays with Jenbiff

Designers Everywhere!

A few years ago many celebrities wanted to expand their name and brand by making a perfume or cologne with his or her name on it. Recently I’ve noticed a lot of these celebrities and others have now jumped head first into the wonderful world of fashion. Of course most of them are pricing their collections on the same level as other high end designers, but, thankfully, there are also some who are creating lines for those of us with a little bit smaller bank accounts. These celebrities have put their line in a bigger chain stores like Macy's, Sears, Kohl's, Kmart, Payless, Walmart, and Target.

I work at Kohl's so I spend a lot of time looking at all the new things from our designer lines. The designer lines we carry are: LC Lauren Conrad, Simply Vera Vera Wang, Tony Hawk, and Daisy Fuentes. I'm pretty much obsessed with majority of Lauren's Pretty Pleats collection now in Kohl's everywhere! BUT the biggest news right now for celebrity lines at Kohl's were the launch of JLo and Mark Anthony lines. It's still so new that I can't give you the low down on everything, but I can tell you that JLo definitely thought of her curvier fans when she created each piece.

Yes, Kohl's carries a lot of designers for really great prices, but they are not alone. Here is a list of other places that sell designer stuff for less: Christian Siriano's Gold Collection at Payless; Madonna has her line, Material Girl, for Macy's; Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez at Kmart; Kardashian Kollection for Sears, and Missoni for Target.

So dear fashionistas...it looks like we no longer need to break the bank, rely on mom and dad or find a sugar daddy in order to own some designer pieces. Hooray!!
