While I studied abroad I accumulated many post cards, brochures, tickets, and maps. I wanted to be able to remember everything when I got home. Being the creative person that I am, I decided that I wanted to put all of these items into a frame to hang on my wall so that I could remember all the good times that I had. Now when I say I accumulated many...well, that may be a bit of an understatement because I took brochures from EVERY place that I went to. I couldn't help myself! Everything was beautiful and different from what I normally see at home. I tried to incorporate as many aspects from my travels as I could but after I had finished I realized that I didn't even include pictures that I took! I suppose I'll just have to make more collages!
From there I layered different items and tried to find a way to make them flow together so there weren't any gaps.
I attempted to put the top part of the frame on and thought that I was finished only to discover that when I picked the frame up everything slid down...back to the drawing board! I put everything face down on the actual frame so that all I had to do was attach the back...risky since I couldn't see what everything really looked like but it was a chance I was willing to take. I gently lifted the frame, keeping it flat, so that I could peek under to see how everything was coming along. Luckily it looked great so I taped everything together on the back then attached the back of the frame and was finished!

At the center of my collage is my map of the Tube which was an unbelievable help and without it I probably would have been more directional challenged than usual |

This is a perfect way to show off all your memorabilia from your trips and the best part about this kind of souvenir is that a lot of it was free! I have a few more ideas on how to remember your trips but you'll just have to keep reading to see what else I have up my sleeve!
How do you make your trips unforgettable? Let me know!!!
